3 Inexpensive Vacation Ideas for Families

pelicanIf you’ve ever begun to plan a vacation for your family, you might have noted how expensive vacations can be.

Especially when you have children to feed and keep entertained, family vacations are not cheap.

Luckily, there are some inexpensive vacation options for families with children, so you don’t have to blow your budget every single time you go away.

Here are a few:

All Inclusive Vacations

Have you ever been to an all inclusive resort?

Not only do you get your food and beverage for free, but there is also usually a place for kids that they can visit for free.

Plus these resorts just so happen to be the cheaper of a variety of different vacation options.

If you book last minute you’ll save even more money, and generally, children under 3 are free.

Camping

Is camping your cup of tea? If so, that’s great news, because it is the cheapest form of family vacation out there. Pack up the sunscreen, bug spray, and tents, and head out to your favorite campsite with your family.

Usually a campsite is only $15-$25 per night for one car full of people, but you can find either cheaper or free by camping off season in these campsites.

Road trips

One of the most expensive things about family trips is air travel.

That’s why the previous two tips are great, because with the first, air travel is included, and camping doesn’t require a flight.

Road trips are therefore very cost effective.

Especially with the great gas prices right now, you can go on a road trip with your family for far less then boarding a plane and plus, it’s fun to see the sights through a car window as you make your way to your destination. Just make sure there’s plenty of entertainment for the kids.
